Because that's the price of this kick ass couch with a built in computer. It will do all the things that you expect your computer to do for you, as well as control all the electronics in your house. I need one pronto, although Im not really a fan of white couches. They get dirty too quickly and that stays in the back of your mind when you've got a lady on it, plus there's that whole Tucker Max story involving a white couch that kind of turned me off to them.
