According to reports in Japan, Toyota has green lit plans for solar panels to be put on the 2009 line of Prius hybrid vehicles. I believe this will be a huge step in reducing our oil dependency and how people view the possibilities of solar energy. According to the same reports however, the solar panels will only power the air conditioning of the car, which may sound kind of lame but having something other than the battery power the AC will allow the car to get even better mileage. Save our planet people!

haha but won't the solar panels only work in the daytime? you know..when the sun is out?
