This Just In...

This just in.. a teacher in China has been fired and denounced by media outlets and bloggers like yours truly, because he fled his classroom before his students during the massive earthquake that rocked the region last month. He is receiving a lot of grief from internet users especially because he went online and posted a lengthy explanation of why he did what he did and why he would do it again. In his posting, the man said that in that type of situation he would not think about sacrificing himself for anyone other than his daughter, even if it were his own mother. 

Not only did the man ditch the kids in the blink of an eye, he was the first person out of the school and onto the soccer field which the school designated as a safe area. Fortunately none of the students in his class were harmed during the quake. The teacher was fired by the school and he is thinking about taking legal action against them. 

So Im thinking that you cant really blame the guy. Those werent his kids and they probably treated him like garbage anyways. I know I wouldnt expect any of my past teachers to want to die for me especially after all the heckles and pranks that I oversaw. Ive never experienced an earthquake myself, but Im pretty sure as soon as things start shaking Im gone. What would you have done?
