Is That A Printer In Your Pocket?

Polaroid, the company who had you shaking it like one of their pictures, has abandoned the film and cameras that made them famous. Instead they are producing pocket sized printers that connect via bluetooth to cell phones or cable to digital cameras that allow you to print 2 x 3 inch photos wherever you deem necessary. The printers, known as PoGo, are battery operated and use a technology called Zink (zero ink) to print. The paper that is printed on actually produces color from heat made by the printer and no ink is used in the printing process. All you need to purchase is Zink paper which will run about $4 for a pack of 10 sheets.

I had heard about this a while ago but it is finally becoming available in early July. Sadly it is not compatible with the iPhone but if you want to see if your cell phone will work check out this link: http://polaroid.com/pogo/comptool/index.html
